5/12/2016 0 Comments Animal AdventuresWe had a great day visiting Animal Adventures. There were many rescued animals to see, learn about and even touch.
5/11/2016 0 Comments Animal ProjectsThe kids had a blast sharing their animal projects with first graders and their second grade peers. They worked hard in the classroom on their animal reports and at home on their projects. Great job ~ Muy bien hecho! We are looking forward to meeting these animals at Animal Adventures tomorrow. 5/3/2016 0 Comments MariposasButterflies have arrived to the second grade students at Memorial school! Of course they arrived as larva and we have observed as they have quickly eaten their way to much larger (compared with their original size) caterpillars. This science unit is always a favorite as the students have the opportunity to observe such an interesting life cycle. The students have taken to acting like scientists as they observe and inquire about the needs of living things and the structure/function relationship of each of the caterpillars' characteristics and their purposes. See some photos below. |
